  • Importing TGA image Sequenceas 1 Frame default?

Posted by Thomas on May 18, 2005 at 1:51 am

Does anyone know how to import or change the default settings of an’ image sequence’ or ‘image file’ from 10 sec. to 1 frame?
It would just seem crazy to manually change the timeing/frames of the stills if there are hundreds.

If your wanting to create a movie file from these TGA files you should do it Quicktime Pro not FCP. Go to Quicktime, Open Image sequence, and then export your finished movie in the correct codec as the sequence you will be working in. If this movie contains an alpha channel then export it as an animation compression movie in the correct proportions. Depending on your configuration you may not get realtime playback of this file. I hope this helps, John

Is the import export option only available in Quicktime Pro. I’ve got QT 6.5.2 and I don’t see any of those options.

Yes. These are Quicktime Pro features. FCP comes with a license and serial number for Quicktime Pro (version 6.x with FCP 4, version 7 with FCP 5)

    Hi Thomas

Whereas I agree with the other guys, and I would use QuickTime Pro to export the sequence as a movie, to answer your question, you can change the default duration of imported stills.

    1. Go to the menu: Final Cut Pro > User Preferences
