you say the video is dark, but what are you looking at? If you are looking at the computer monitor, maybe your monitor is not properly calibrated. Have you tried rendering out your video and checking it on a tv? You really shouldn’t preview or try to do color correction based on what you see in the computer monitor, but you should preview on a tv or production monitor that has been properly calibrated. Chances are that your video is just fine as shot.

Valerie, I was wondering if you could send me a veg of what you are doing. I’ve been toying with a similar concept but haven’t got it quite right and would like to see how you have set up that project.

could it be the fact that you are using a beta operating system? I’ve seen Windows 7 do some strange things on a co-workers laptop that we can attribute to an operating system that’s not quite ready for primetime… Your mileage may vary. Good luck.

John has his letters confused, it happens… he meant to tell you to render on a NTFS file system, not NTSC which is a tv standard….

since Vegas Pro 9 is about to ship, investigate with sony the cost of upgrading. You’ll get the Pro package which is much better than the Studio package and you should get a good deal on the price.

May 7, 2009 at 3:36 pm in reply to: Titles are not there !!

track motion worked the way it was supposed to. You key framed movement at the first title. you would need to set a “reset” keyframe before you arrived at the next title event and then keyframe the desired movement at the appropriate timeline location, then “reset” and repeat for the third event. I would just use pan/crop on each event unless you like messing around with movement on the track level.

    hope this helps.
