AFIK you can edit 360 video since Vegas 16, but you need a utility to inject the metadata into the rendered file in order for it to work as intended. A simple YouTube search will yield a couple of tutorials on this. I believe I saw one done by Alex Halford using Vegas 16.

You can learn a lot by going to some of these guys websites that moderate this forum. Look at their demo reels. There are several resoruces to visit on the web like vasst, videomaker, creativecow, etc. You can pick up a lot of basic methodology to editing. Ultimately you will develop your own style, but it won’t happen overnight. Good luck to you.

I would break up each leg as an image and use a wipe transition at the angle of the leg. It’s a lot faster to use multiple tracks than to keyframe a mask along multiple legs.

did you apply the effect at the project media level or event level?

if you copy an event from a track and paste it to another track, you are also going to bring over any effects applied to the event. If you want a clean copy with no effects added to the event, go to the project media pool and pull the copy from there.

Are you talking about playback rate? You can get an even faster playback by adding a velocity envelope to the adjusted playback rate.

If I am understanding your dilema correctly, the media on the other track will not be visible because it is not having the effect applied to it. To see the media, you could add a layer under the text effects layer in red to compose by, and then delete the underlying layer before applying the red event back to Vegas.
