This is from memory – I think white screens may be the result of too long a path name. Here’s a great site with answers to many PPT issues. https://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?lang=en&cr=US&dg=microsoft.public.powerpoint

If you’re working in a 16×9 mode, look at the Item Properties>Format of the imported clip and see if Anamorphic is checked. If not, check it and see what happens. I imagine you exported an Animation format movie so you have the alpha channel. Did you use the same frame size as the codec you’re editing with?

I’ve been forced to use PPT with video a couple of times and it’s as frustrating process. However, if you can play the video in WindowsMedia Player, it should be playable inside PPT. You have to have the video in the same folder as t he PPT file. Explain what you’re seeing in PPT – white screen, black screen, etc. What version are you using?

November 12, 2008 at 3:11 pm in reply to: FX Plugs Boost Luma Dip Chroma

Overlays were on, but with no overlays selected. I switched overlays off and rerendered to no avail. FX Factory is v2.0.5, Polychrome v1.1, ImageFlow v2.5. This is happening to all the FxPlugs. Older FXScript transitions work fine.

What hard drive are you using for your media? What kind of media-codec, frame rate, etc.? What are the Sequence Settings and do they match the media? How are you monitoring the edit?

In the History window have you clicked the arrow to open the job? It’s probably the Today line.

November 7, 2008 at 2:38 pm in reply to: Jittery Still Frames on DVD

This could also be a field order issue. Check the jittery frames to see if their order (upper/lower) is the same as your sequence’s settings.

November 6, 2008 at 11:36 pm in reply to: Motion Tab (Easy Question)

Don’t you mean paste attributes which is option-v? Then you select which attributes you want affected from the dialogue that pops up. In this case Basic Motion. This will make the 2 clips move exactly the same way.

However, if the object is to move a number of clips relative to each other, then you should nest those clips and then move the nest.
