  • compressor problem with finished project

I am attempting to export a finished project using the compressor. For the first time, the compressor is not working. I have dragged the mpeg 2 settings into the project (as I have done in the past) and pressed Submit. Nothing is happens – other than a window comes up confirming the name of the newly submitted project. After that, nothing. This is the first time that the compressor has not started the transcoding process. I have tried with 2 projects and each time when I press Submit, no response, i.e., no bar appears showing coding process.
    Any ideas?

In the History window have you clicked the arrow to open the job? It’s probably the Today line.

I’ll check the history window as you suggest. Numerous difficulties. Earlier today, I did an attempted export to mpeg 2 from FCP. After 3 hours of encoding, the coding suddenly quit. No evidence of the mpeg file anywhere. I could see it being built when I looked for it on Finder while the encoding was going on. But then the process stopped and the 1.? GB mpeg 2 file disappeared. Right now I’m re-rendering the video files on the FCP timelines safter I made some adjustments to the render settings. Working on a MacBookPro, there are hours of waiting to see if my various attempts have succeeded.
