Are you talking about Invigorator Pro or ProAnimator? If it’s Invigorator Pro and you are using the AE timeline to animate your elements you may need to convert the drifting object’s keyframes to “Linear”. Not sure why it would be drifting in ProAnimator, perhaps you have slightly different position settings between poses…
In ProAnimator you can put objects on individual tracks by selecting the object in the Preview window and then in the timeline clicking on “Track Commands” and choosing “Move Selected Objects to Track” and choosing either an existing track or “New Object Track”.

Perhaps render each element (mainly the maps elements) as separate movies with alphas and add a shadow manually…

Or “Precompose” your layer and increase the size of the precomp before applying Shine.

I’m not aware of this function in CS3. I do know that the AE team put a tonne of stuff into Shape Layers but of course not everything makes it each cycle. Perhaps make a feature request. In the mean time perhaps you could duplicate and offset your shape (so you have multiple paths inside your “content” and manually offset each. Not perfect I know.

You’re using Absolute Color. Shadows won’t appear on layers textured with Absolute color so switch it to Standard and all will be one again.

If you’re using AE 8 you could use the Puppet Pin Tool, its much more powerful than the standard Bezier Warp.

There is no “wind” effect in AE. Perhaps try some Noise and Directional Blur…

The potential problem with live trace is having more paths and control points then you need. Compound Paths may also need some tweaking after the trace to get ProAnimator to recognise them. It all depends on the complexity of what it is you’re trying to model in PA.
