I applied trapcode shine to layer in AE but the rays of light are getting clipped by the edges of the layer it’s on. How can I expand the edges of my layer so that the rays of light will continue past the edges of the image?

The “grow bounds” effect should do it.

Or “Precompose” your layer and increase the size of the precomp before applying Shine.

Here, here, Steve, long live “grow bounds”, just be sure and put it above the Shine, so it grows the bounds first,

Yeah, my problem was that I put grow bounds below shine >.< Thanks.

I tried the Grow Bounds effect with shine and it didn’t work. Of course its before Shine.
I somehow don’t have the option to collapse transform with this PNG, that would normally work. (CS4 -OSX10.5)
