Yep most likely Shine. The fast moving glints look like they are using Starglow. You can create these glints using blurred duplicates of the text and animated masks, then apply Starglow over the top.
You can’t import a layered file so that each layer is in a separate set. You have to allocate the objects to different sets once the file has been imported. You can do this by selecting the object and choosing a set from the Sets pop-up menu to the right of the Object pop-up menu.
You can apply a different layer map to each side of the cube if you want. Just select the cube, click on the Material Setup button, and drag your texture map materials to the numbered (1-6) boxes beneath the scene preview window.
Hmmm, it sounds as if the controller plane is being scaled as well… check that first then let me know… If you it still isn’t working, email me the project and I’ll take a look.
Thanks for the kudos guys! I know it really helps when you can watch someone doing this stuff rather then reading steps in point form. Being an Aussie I was very conscious of my pronunciation, did you find me easy to understand? How about the speed, did I go too fast? What do you think of the ring around the cursor, was it useful in helping you follow along? Any other feedback is appreciated.
How about using 3D Glasses? Or you could duplicate the image 3 times and use Shift Channels to set one dup to Red, one to Green and one to Blue. Then you can position these layers whereever you want.
