Text Effect URGENT HELP!
I am in desperate need of knowing how to create a text effect.
I need to have a word orbit around an object.
The problem I am having is that I created text and put it on a circular path and rotated the path in 3D to revolve around the object, but the text only moves on the inner side of the circle, and if i rotate the layer 90 degrees, the text disappears because it is purely flat.
What I need is text that looks flat to you on the screen and follows the path around the object that way. It revolves around the object so that you see the front of the word in the front of the object and you see the word reverse when it is around the back.
i hope someone can help.

Sounds like a job for effect>perspective>CC cylinder, one of the Cycore plugins that come with a non-educational AE 6.5.
Make a text layer, then apply the cylinder effect.

The CC effects are a separate install on the AE CD.
