The Info palette gives you the start and end times and the duration of the work area. Just set the work area to the approximate length you need then drag either the start or end tab (which will snap to 1 frame increments) and take a look at the Info palette as you drag.

Try here: File > Project Settings > Color Depth. Yes you could see banding before the render.

Sounds like it could be banding… Try changing to 16bpc. You can do this quickly by Option/Alt clicking on the 8bpc button at the bottom of the project window. If this doesn’t help, you can also try adding a little noise. Let us know if we can help some more.

I agree with you and as far as I know there is no way to apply the map to the text as a whole… but I could be wrong… You’ll probably need to use an Illustrator file version of the text to get it to work and this kind of defeats the purpose of having the ability to type text directly into the Invigorator. This is a feature that would be very handy indeed.

There’s no way to “stop” the objects intersecting other than modifying your animation.

3D Invigorator is what you need. You should definitely go for the Pro version.
