Doubling the comp frame rate is correct but you’ll also need to separate the fields of the footage on import (FILE > INTERPRET FOOTAGE > MAIN). When you do this you’ll be looking at each field as an individual frame in the comp panel.

Nice tutorial. Keep in mind that AE CS3 now includes Layer Styles so thankfully these workarounds are no longer necessary.

As of AECS3 these effects (and other third party effects) are installed with the main installer.

Are you viewing your comp with Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction on? If so turn it off as it may be the cause.

Hmmm, sounds strange. In AE CS3 Keylight (and the Cycore effects) are installed as part of the main installation. Should be there.
