Is the audio an MP3 file? If so, try increasing the AUDIO BLOCK DURATION setting (PREFERENCES > OUTPUT > AUDIO BLOCK DURATION). Make it longer than the duration of the MP3 file and see if that helps.

It imports them as objects into the Invigorator 3D space which “shares” the AE 3D space. You’ll be able to use the AE camera by checking the USE COMP CAMERA option.

Personally I always try to avoid rotoscoping whenever possible. Best case would be a rough holdout mask around the talent and a second pass key to remove the bulk of the markers. But you’d need some roto work where the talent passes in front of markers.

Not possible. You can however get full access to Photoshops tools for your video by using the new Photoshop CS3 Extended edition.

Hmm, I’d still tend to go for the Footage panel technique because it will reveal incorrect interpretation even on very slow moving footage. And even on slow moving footage an incorrect interpretation will result in an incorrect render.

Hey Dave, no need to add the double frame rate comp to a new comp, just render out the double frame rate comp at the original frame rate with appropriate fields.
Also you mention that you can see incorrect field interpretation in the comp panel by stepping forward one frame at a time… I haven’t been able to get this to work, what’s your secret?
The technique I use is to OPTION/ALT double click on the footage in the Project panel then hold down the COMMAND/CONTROL key and use the left/right arrows on the keyboard to step through the footage.
