Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Audio stuttering on final render

  • Audio stuttering on final render

The audio plays back fine when previewed inside AE. The source files are fine too. So after rendering, I get stutters in exactly the same place in the V.O. spots.
If it makes any difference, I’m running AE 7 Pro, and I’m rendering out using Quicktime and have tried both MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 for compression. Audio is set to stereo 16 bit @ 48khz. These are the settings I use for most renders.

And while we’re on the subject of audio… a free bonus question:

Is there also any reason why AE doesn’t recognize most of the .wav files I try to bring in?

    Thanks,

Is the audio an MP3 file? If so, try increasing the AUDIO BLOCK DURATION setting (PREFERENCES > OUTPUT > AUDIO BLOCK DURATION). Make it longer than the duration of the MP3 file and see if that helps.
