Marquee isn’t the easiest tool to use, but is pretty powerful, though you have to put up with very slow renders.

Open Marquee and import your image, a larger image will work better.
Turn on th animation mode, the filmstrip icon.
Under “File” go to “Duration” change the duration to what you need.
If not open, go to “Window” then “Properties” —“Transform”
Set up the starting position of your animation.
Now scrub to the timeline(Open window if not already open) or use the timecode in the viewer to move to end of timeline.
    Set up ending positions.

    “File” “Save to Bin”

Most likely you don’t have the RAM to do that at 10,000 pixels.

That seems rather extreme, I recently did a project which was basically the same thing and used a map that was about 3000 pixels wide and zoomed into India.

Place the map in one comp(needed to have the red line conncting departure/destination), brought that into another comp and just applied CC Sphere to it. I was able to zoom into India no problem, without any pixelation issues.

    Wow, that sounds tricky.

Not sitting in front of AE ring tnow, but what I would do create one layer of text “Chicago 11:00 AM ON TIME” using the digital readout font. Use the character offset to randamize the letters(key frame) and at +1 second 0 offset(keyframe).

Then I would use the character range, and keyframe the offset from 0 to 100. So that the letters come in 1 at a time, left to right.

Now duplicate the layer, and a mask to the top half of the characters. Copy mask and paste it to the bottom layer and set to invert. ON the top layer, change the character offset by about 20. Now you have two layers, where the top and bottom aren’t changing exactly the same.

Precomp and apply a cardwipe transition and play to taste.

  • Use both the Avid & AE and have never been successful building a slow credit roll in AE and bringing it into the Avid. I’ve tried using the animation and Avid codecs, always end up with interlacing issues.

Honestly, best solution is to just use the titler in Avid. If you have the credits already built, just cut and paste it in…

Wow, that’s not really a basic question, strangely enough, it was asked very recently in the other forum.

Might help to get you started.

    Try this

    https://www.redgiantsoftware.com/unmult.html

Basically knoll created a quick keyer for it’s lens flares, keys out black. Free handy little plugin.

Apply that, then apply a levels effect and change the pulldown from RGB to Alpha, then tweak your levels as needed. Generally just crush the blacks say to video imput 16 to 35.

Should give you a decent alpha.

    Dave,

Thank you. Man sometimes you just skip right over the obvious and start looking for the complicated solution.
