  • Mylenium or Dan Eberts, simple expression question

    Have 3 layers, that I have the opacity tied to trapcodes soundkeys, but I would like them to be delayed by 10 frames each. Simple pickwhip to create:

    thisComp.layer(” Sound Keys Right”).effect(“Sound Keys”)(“Output 1”)

    but I cannot figure out how to delay the layers with a 10 frame offset. Ending up doing it the long way, by creating 3 soundkey layers, then delaying each of those by 10 frames, but I would imagine that this could of been done in the original expression.

    Thanks

    Try this.

    offset = thisComp.frameDuration * 10;
    thisComp.layer(” Sound Keys Right”).effect(“Sound Keys”)(“Output 1”).valueAtTime(time – offset)

    Thank you Byron, worked like a charm. That one is going in the notebook.
