Ted’s right, you can emulate that with the write-on or the paint effect. Or you could just buy the design elements the guy created(it’s 6 bucks, that’s probably cheaper than it would cost me to take the time to make something like that) or you could paint on black and roto the brush/hand out of the shot and create your own from scratch..

You can see how this guy did it over at AETuts(Check out the Final Product Video), https://ae.tutsplus.com/articles/news/ink-redible-aetuts-premium-ink-reveal-bundle-tutorial/?search_index=2

If you get a premium membership over at Tuts, you can download all of those bleeds too.

VideoCoPilot also has an assortment of stuff premade with there RiotGear pack.

No, you will lose the 3D in AE.

AE CS6 can create and extrude text though with ray tracing. Over at Adobe.com there are quite a few FREE TUTORIALS for using this new ability.

  • If you have access to Trapcode Particular, then a tutorial like Green Smoke might be very helpful.

You might be able to pull it off with CC Particle World too, as it allows for custom particles, but it doesn’t offer the flexibility of Particular.

So it works on a different computer, that is really strange. Perhaps it’s an indivudual computer issue, if it’s working on one system and not another.

Yes if you are using collapse transformations, then you are going to run into this issue.

You could add an adjustment layer and add CC Force Motion Blur, but I find that’s always a pretty bad render hit.

What are your rendering and output settings? Also what is happening at 1:17 of your video? Are there any effects, adjustment layers, keyframes.

When you said you set up different project on a different computer, were you using the same footage? I wonder if there isn’t some possible issue there, what type of footage are you using?

This might be a stupid question(but we have to start somewhere), but depending on your compression 1 minute might be a huge file, do you have enough drive space to store this video?

Second is AE giving you any error codes in the render queue?

  • If it’s a 3D plane, with 3d enabled then you would twirl open visibility > obscuration layer and choose the 3d Plane. Now your particles will interact with that layer.

October 8, 2012 at 2:37 am in reply to: Font Type…

You could try What The Fona=t, you upload an image and it will analyze the font and give you suggestions as to what it might be. I can’t say with 100% certainty, but I think that’s just Helvetica Bold.

As for the red bar, it just looks like the Layer Style Bevel with the size turned up to around 12 and the Shadow Opacity brought down to 50%
