I read the FAQs and the Manual and still was not given an explanation about what the difference is between p2 and p2 pn. It appears that I cannot set the setting for the pn mode within the camera but must always do it through the firestore. I am still confused on what the difference between the modes are?
It seems like to do variable frame rates you must shoot in in the pn mode, is this correct? Is this the only advantage to the pN mode? And does this mode record audio if you have not changed the frame rate in the camera?

That’s what I was thinking. Thanks for the tip. Is there a certain codec I should use? I normally use quicktime but I can’t find it in any of the export options in Premiere and was wondering if I had to buy it or not?

I turned off openGL and it still does the same thing-gives the error when it gets to 85% of RAM used during render.

I had it at: 120 % =2.0 GB for Max Memory Usage, 60 %=1.2 GB for max RAM cache size, and 8000 mb for Maximum disc cache. I have altered these and done some tests but nothing worked.
