I am using a tv monitor. The footage looks better on that than the computer screen. But I still get rough edges at times, especially if I’m using keyframes to create motion in an imported still image. I get a rough motion path than a smooth one.

Thanks, but it did not work. It is taking me about 6-7 hours to export a 80 min video in compressor. There are no effects added to the video, just straight from capture. I am running a G5 too.

no, that’s not it. i have had problems like that before where the camera would turn off like that, but that’s not the case. i borrowed a friend’s camera today to see if that would help. I plugged in the firewire before i booted the computer up. the computer said it recognized it, but when I went to PTT, everything was faded and I couldn’t click on anything. it worked fine with vegas 5. there must be something wrong in the settings, but i made sure the print device is connected with firewire in the preferences. i have no clue what the deal is.

I am not doing that. I’m just using the default PTT option, NTSC DV and I didn’t mess with any of the other settings. Its very weird.

I dont think its the camera because I’ve tried 2 different cameras. It also works fine in vegas 5. I can PTT fine in something like movie maker also.
