January 16, 2016 at 10:26 am in reply to: How to insert clips on timeline according to timecode?Hey Simon,
check out SequenceLiner by Andreas Kiel – it might need some work (as it only is working with FCP7 AND there is only a 10.6-version of it) but you might give it a try:

I always find Andreas’ XML-handlers very useful!

I find the Composite out broken with the new driver, no application (FCP, Shake, Motion, AE) is able to send a picture through it.
The DVI-output-settings vanished from the drop-down-menu
Even if no DVI-Monitor is connected System Preferences>Monitor shows a third screen in HD-dimensions.
10.5.2, all above SW in latest versions
G5 Quad, (grey) Multibridge Extreme 6.6.3Currently I’m considering a rollback on 6.6.2

Well, this IS a workflow we use here very often and you don’t want see me swearing around on this “feature” FCP 6 brought in here – no, you don’t… I’m talking multicam (8-14) opera- and concert-programs 150 mins+ in HD.
– the recutting workaround:
For that recutting-workaround: I pull off the assistant’s bill from the next payble FCP-upgrade, may I?
– ever tried to call tech support?
Man, I’m not here to explain them how the software works, am I? I suppose answering questions on the phone is not the way to go into depth with a piece of code, is it? “Have you tried…” is not what I am aiming for here, believe me, I “tried” a lot of things!
I want: “I shouldn’t say that to you but… yes, we know about this issue, all our staff is into it – a promising update-seed are currently circulating, if you like we can take you in the recipients-group…”
Guys, even beta-testing is something I’d prefer over this ridiculous situation!
btw my workaround: oldschool-EDL out the sequence to online and re-import into a new project for recapture…
While this works well for hard edits it’s not for this sophisticated stuff a vanishing minority use (and bought) FCPFCS for – because FC is currently not working in a professional manner!!!!Ah: don’t even think about using that XML-feature – it’s as reliable as the Media Mangler itself.

If I understand your observations correct it sounds like a fild shift from lower to upper – question would be if and how PAL-folks are affected.
For me as one of those PAL-guys I haven’t noticed anything so far – but a closer look into this issue – now that I know of it – will follow…

September 29, 2006 at 10:23 am in reply to: ETA on FCP 5.1.2 support for Decklink Extreme PCI XI am running a Multibridge Extreme on a G5 Quad and the FCP 5.1.2-Update (on BMD 5.6.3-Drivers) gives me a “no communication” to my VTR (HDW-M2000P). Returning to 5.1.1 solved this issue. However even in the 5.1.1-5.6.3-setup the remote is not reliable, sometimes I have to reboot a couple of times to get a “VTR OK” .
Still waiting for 5.7.1 to support my other machines (intelQuads).

September 19, 2006 at 12:54 am in reply to: MacPro 10.4.7 pre-installed panics on DL-Driver 5.7Hi Dan,
thanks for this hint – just vanilla’ed the MacPro from the install disks and it’s 8K1079 now – but still the same problem… Since you are running the same config I now start to suspect a hardware-issue…
Kristian Lam from blackmagic-design is also working on this issue, hopefully he can find something useful.
