Will current BMD drivers work with FCP 5.1.2?
Posted by Daniel Weber on September 27, 2006 at 3:03 pmI am about to download the new FCP 5.1.2 update and wanted to make sure that the current BMD drivers would work before I upgrade my software.
Thanks,
Dan Weber

September 28, 2006 at 5:10 amHi Dan,
Yes, they work fine with Final Cut Pro HD 5.1.2 and in fact I would recommend the update to Final Cut Pro HD 5.1.2. We’ve been testing with all the pre-release versions of Final Cut Pro HD 5.1.2 and so can recommend this version.

September 28, 2006 at 8:52 amI am afraid I was not that lucky, Since the 5.1.2 upgrade I have kernel panics while booting and I had to uninstall the card to be able to work, I have no idea how to downgrade to 5.1.1, so I can’t use my Decklink (HD PCI-X) card for now…

September 30, 2006 at 8:06 pmTurns out the Decklink 5.7 driver was the culprit here, installed the 5.6.2 and got everything working again…
