The changes that take place are very subtle and most likely you cannot see them. You should use the scope to see that.

I’ve addressed this issue a few times as I have dealt with this same issue. Most of my products are Sony and as such thought that this would be the best way to avoid any problems. It is just not the case. The software developers and the hardware folks do not work hand in hand. Each has their own market to reach. Apple of course likes to keep everything in house and as John says they convert to their format for east editing. -
The answer really depends on your level of expertise and what the goal of the video is. If is just to have them lip sync then what you want to do (the cheapest way) is to rehearse a few times with the singers to be sure they really know the song well and can repeat the process everytime. If you plan on having them move away from your sound source (speakers, cd player etc) then you will have to also have that mobile. Do a few run through and practice getting the camera moves. If you are shooting with just one camera try to mark their positions throughout the song and if there is any type or choreography at all (not talking major moves) be sure to have them be able to repeat those as well. This way you can do multiple takes from different angles so it will look like you used more than one camera. I’ve done this but in the studio and it comes out really well.
Now if you are talking doing green screens and such that is a whole different discussion. Of course you did not mention any of the details so it is a bit hard to fine tune the answer to your needs. Keep it simple and have fun.

Make sure that when you are adding the effect you are on the first frame and select “reset To None”.
Be sure you have the sync cursor selected on then move to a point in your time line just before where you would like the effect to take place. Click on the “+” to add a keyframe, now move to where you want the effect to take place and select your desired effect settings from the presets or make your own. You wont have to manually add a keyframe as it will do it for you.If you right click on the keyframes you can select the form in which the change from the prior keyframe (in this case NONE) to your current. It takes a bit of playing around but you’ll get the knack in no time.

amazing isn’t it…would be nice to be able to purchase at the factory level. When I was in school we had a field trip to the local cannery. In this particular place they were canning fruits. Our teacher showed us the steps and at the end asked us if we knew that fruit were very intelligent. Of course we laughed,but then he said how else could all of those peaches know what can to go into. Yep…same peaches different labels….different companies…

Read the specs to the Sony John I didn’t see where it provided for over cranking. Unless perhaps you were referring to the 60p 720 mode… The jobs that I am getting these days are so varied that I need the versatility and as such doing requires me to sift through all the data. I appreciate all the help immensely.

Thank you for the suggestions I appreciate it very much and will continue to research the options. I’m leaning towards two cameras whereas one is better suited for sports. I’d rather have a higher frame rate to maintain the clarity on the slow replay. Any suggestions for the latter? Thanks again gentleman.
