I made an example for you.
But since you seem to be using an AE6.0,while I am using an AE6.5,so maybe you can not open the example for you.So…..
I place the screen shots of the whole process in the folder ,you will be able to know how to make it by following the screen shots.
wish to be helpful.

Excuse me ,but I can not see how you “import” them. Here is some advice:
All the plugins should be installed into the “Plug-ins” folder, and all the presets should be placed in the “Presets” folder, while you can not just “import” them.****************************

Maybe you can try this:
Open you top view and check the position of your camera and 3Dlayers.Maybe your 3D layers are out of the “sight” of your camera.

Sorry ,I made a mistake, only when copying and pasting a path from illustrator to PS the window can be available. So the only way I can find is :to open the AI file with PS,select the shape whose edge you wanted to use as the path.Connvert the selection field into a path. Then copy and paste the path into AE.
Sorry because I use a Chinese PS ,I can not tell you the exact menu in English.Wish to be helpful.

Because I have not used Chinese Star,I esplored the web site of Chinese Star to find if it could support AE.It declared that this soft could support ADOBE PHOTOSHOP,but it did not mentioned AE.So maybe you should contect Chinese star to make sure if it can support AE as well as PS.
Then I searched for the answer for this question in Chinese Google. Then I found this advice from a corporation which produces Chinese fonts:”Those softwares like Chinese Star can obstruct your program(for example:Firefwors/Freehand) in editing the shape of Chinese texts.A Chinese Windows system is necessuary if you want to input Chinese text in such programs.”
By the way, could you describe more about your problem? What do you get when you input Chinese text in AE?And what version of AE are you using now?it seems AE5.5 is not as smart as AE6.0 in understanding Chinese fonts.
I almost forget the most important thing:have you installed at least a Chinese font for your winXP?If not…..it could probably be the key of this problem.
Wish to be helpful.

AE can support Chinese very well.Almost all the Chinese fonts can be used in AE as well as English fonts.I always work with AE supporting Chinese fonts. And about you problem, can you please tell me what kind of operation system you are using, window?or apple OS?……I think if your operation system can not support Chinese ,neither can your AE.

It’s all because perspective reason. The light is a 3D layer.while lans flare is a 2D effect.Change the Z-position of the light into “0”.Then you will find the flare in the right position. But then the light would be useless because it was too clase to the layer lighten. If you do not want the light to affect the shadow,I sugest you to create a 2D solid to imitate the light with “add”or “screen”transparent mood.

I don’t know if there is an equivalent in AE,but here is a trick with which you can get this effect.
1.Open your Photoshop.Create a new layer named”GLOW”.Add an Inner Glow effect for this layer.Save and quit.
2.open your AE.Import the PSD file you have just make as a composition.
3.Open the composition, you can find a layer named with”GLOW’s Inner Glow”
4.Open it’s effects panel ,now you can see the effect”Photoshop Inner Glow”.Copy it and paste onto any layer you like.****************************
