Premiere and Media Encoder should be sending your exports and renders to the GPU, so you won’t see much usage by the CPU. GPU usage is not reported with CPU usage.

Beware of the flat rate for a production. It will always bite you in the end.
Give them an estimate of how many hours the project will take and the corresponding hourly rate. If they want to keep coming back and making changes after it is complete, and the initial hours of the estimate have been met, then they get charged the hourly rate for as long as they want to keep making changes. Otherwise, the client will turn a 20 hour project into a 40 hour project and your rate/profit is cut in half.
And heed Dave’s words about working with clients beneath your level. You are in business and they are in business. It is not your business to support their business with financial cuts on your end. A good client relationship is respect on both sides.

Beautiful clean footage. Nice work.
Suggestions;
1 – Move in closer on food shots. Food looks better the more it fills the screen.
2 – Add in some slo-mo. Give a little more time to savor some of the shots and it smooths out the hand-held action.
3 – The titles that are four lines go by a bit fast. A good rule is to read them out loud to make sure you have enough on-screen time.
4 – Add a one or two frame white flash before going to the black and white still of the group. Simulated camera flash.
5 – One thing I would always tell my students is to shoot from high angles and low angles, not all from a standing position. This shows viewers the event from a different perspective than what they would normally see and makes it more interesting.Keep shooting and producing. Have fun!

Before the clips go into a sequence, right-click on the clip or a selection of clips in the bin, choose Modify > Audio Channels. Here you can select how Premiere will handle the audio tracks. You can also save a Preset once you have the setup you like.

Do you import the footage by drag-and-drop or do you use the Media Browser? Using the Media Browser helps Premiere to interpret the video and audio better, especially with AVCHD files.

I never tried dropping RAW images into Premiere before, I usually process them and make them into a lighter file for it to handle like PNG. I guess a RAW image is data overload, TMI, for Premiere.
