    It’s on the wish list for KiPro upgrades. I don’t know if we will get it with this newest release or not.

    When finished shooting, eject the drive from the KiPro, hook it up to a computer via a firewire cable. Copy the files directly or use a program like ShotPut Pro to copy and verify (recommended) the files. It’s that easy.

    Apply the 3-Way Color Corrector filter. Move the Whites slide control to the left a little. This should bring down your highlighted foreheads without effecting the rest of the picture. You should see the yellow alert icon go away. If needed, you can bring the Mids up a bit if your picture darkens to much from correcting the highlights.

    Correct. The Resize numbers I posted are for a 16×9 source video. You can play with the sizes and cropping in Media Encoder to get the size and look you are targeting.

    Try this step;

    Sequence (drop down menu)
    Render Only
    Mixdown

    This will render all the audio tracks, filters, and effects.

    Also, beware of .wav files in the FCP timeline, sometimes they do strange things, convert them to .aif if possible.

    I use 2, an Olympus 14-35mm f2 and an Olympus 35-100mm f2 with the Lumix adapter. These cover just about everything I need for interviews and some narrative work. Whatever you get, go for the lowest f-stop you can to take advantage of this great camera.

    My favorite new production tools for Green Screening are spring clamps (get 10 or 12) from the hardware store to pull the cloth tight where needed and the best is Downy Wrinkle Remover (I find it at Target). Set up the cloth, pull it tight the best you can with clamps and sandbags, then spray on the Wrinkle Remover. Run your hand over the wrinkled areas you just sprayed and in a about five minutes it’s as flat as a board. No ironing! This stuff is a production miracle in a bottle.

    For Adobe Media Encoder QuickTime to Flash I’ve had success with these settings;

    Select Format FLV/F4V
    In the Export Settings choose the Format tab and select FLV
    In the Video tab I Resize Video to 480×720
    Frame Rate 30

    The rest of the settings are default
