The only other time I’ve had trouble like this with the audio it turned out to be the MP3 files in the timeline. So I converted them to WAV or AIF. Other that that I’m stumped.

I have a feeling that the original files was set to 23.00fps which is a computer frame rate and not a true video frame rate (23.98), so it is always going to be a mismatch when bringing it into a video edit system.
This would also be why it won’t read DF or NDF timecode, it is a non-standard format.

When the clip is in the source monitor, right click on the Timecode display, the blue or yellow numbers in the lower left of the source monitor. This will tell you what the clip is recorded in, DF or NDF.

Maybe it is the difference between drop frame and non-drop frame time code.

Try converting your frame rate to 23.00fps, instead of 23.98fps.

I don’t know of away to apply the space between them at the same time.
Try this;
Make a 24 frame black clip
Copy it (Command V)
Advance the cursor in the timeline to the next joint between clips using the down arrow key
Then paste the copied black clip in between each clip using (Shift Command V) it will move all other clips to the right on the timelineJoe

Check the frame rates and match the rate of the original file in the timeline and in your export settings.

We are looking at the 5k iMacs for our upgrade. The MacPro (cans) seem to have fizzled out as far as companies making upgrade components, even Apple.

It is always good practice to keep the original files. Burn the AVCHD as data files to a DVD /Blu-ray or flash drive and put them on a shelf or in a vault.

I’m not sure why it would only show up on the full sequence. When I’ve had audio pops in Premiere I’ve put a 2 to 3 frame fade at the head of each audio clip. That seem to solve my pop problems.
