Pretty much all DVD players will play dual layer discs, unless they are really, really old, like first generation players. Most of the movies people rent today are on dual layer DVDs. People just don’t really notice the one second pause when it switches or they think it’s a glitch with their own system.

Encore can make dual layer DVDs with no problem, not really different that making a single layer. If you are burning from your computer make sure your burner can do dual layer discs. Also, with Encore you cannot choose the Break Point where it switches from one layer to the next. When you watch the video there will be a one second pause when it switches. If you want control over the location of that point, for example to put it in a fade to black or a static image, you need other software.

In Premiere
Add the Color Balance (HLS) effect to you clip or to an Adjustment Layer in a track above several clips. Add a keyframe to the beginning of the clip on the Hue line. Add another keyframe at the end of the clip on the Hue line. For the value of the Hue click on the 0.0° and type 10x. This will shift all the color through a cycle ten times. Experiment with different values and keyframes to get the effect you want.Have fun!

What are your export settings? Frame size?
Try using some of the H.264 presets, paying attention to the frame sizes. Use a Vimeo 720p or 1080p for generally good results.

In the Program Window, which you show, click on the Wrench icon in the lower right corner. Uncheck the option Transparency Grid.

Settings used to make export file?This information will to figure out you problem. Also, YouTube takes what you upload to and re-processes it to their system for playback, a lot can happen during that procedure.

2015.2 just came out and the double click to open in the Viewer seems to work fine.

When the sequence window is active/highlighted use Shift I and Shift O to jump to your in and out points on the timeline.

There is no Auto Size. Make sure the text box is Center Justified, change your text as needed, scale to the size you want to fill left and right and hit the Vertical Center and Horizontal Center buttons.
