If you use File-Import, the Avid will rescale the entire image to the project’s canvas size (either SD or HD, nothing else is possible). If you need to have more resolution (for zooms on stills), you can use Avid’s Pan & Zoom effect. That lets you ‘open’ a still in the timeline, and dynamically scale it if needed.

Those clips have motion adapters applied to them in order to make them play at 100% of real time. If you need to change their speed, enter the motion effects editor and click “promote”. That way, you change the motion adapter to a TimeWarp effect, and you can set the speed any way you like.

Answer is still far more complex, and requires you to thoroughly understand the basic principles at work, as well as the exact specifications from your buyer. A *.mov file can contain a myriad of codecs, it is a container format. You need to find out the codec they prefer.

Bob, besides the need to install the software for the box, you may also consider getting the recently updated plugin:

It should solve Legend Audio Communication, Hardware “Underrun” Errors with AJA Io Express.

Also be sure to use the AJA control panel (Mac) or the AJA Machina settings tab (PC) to make sure that you deselect fast scrub, and that the output type matches the output type of your Avid projects. That seems to cure these types of errors that some have been seeing with the AJA Io Express and MC.

MC projects and media can only be shared when using Unity, ISIS, Terrablock, EditShare or (I think) Ingex. Unity-type project sharing is unparalleled.
