Hardware for MC 5.5
Hello everyone. I was an Avid user for 10 years before switching to FCP 7 years back as the company I was working for went the FCP way. Now, I use FCP on a MacBook Pro(2.66 GHz Intel corei7, 8 GB RAM) for on-site highlights editing for golf, soccer, cricket etc. I use either an AJA IO HD , Matrox MX02 or MX 02 LE for capture, playout from my MBP and Caldigit VR, VR mini or Sonnet’s Fusion F2 as my storage. I usually work in Pro Res 422 for both HD and SD.
My question, if I switch to MC 5.5(software), should I go for Mojo DX or is an AJA IO express good enough? What does the Mojo DX do better? Thanks.Kannan Raghavan

thanks a ton Job. I guess I won’t buy a Mojo then. A Nitris DX would be perfect for me, but it’s too expensive and not exactly portable. Damn! Waiting to be able to use my AJA IO HD and MX02 with Avid MC 5.5.
