Yes, and I escalated that. Levels should be the same either way (with the same settings that is).

I’ve escalated a bug that my AE found, where AutoSync would fail when the source clips had an audio track. After subclipping V-only, the problems went away.
As for the difference in how the synced clips look, check the Reformat options (in the bin Column named Reformat).

That’s why in v6 Avid added a ‘regular’ OP1a MXF export option that does not require you to create this virtual XDCAM disc, and also allows you to name it (like any other export).

Sending an OP1a MXF file (the result of this trick) is most common when delivering to broadcasters. Better to avoid QT.

I’m swapping dongles quite often. I own three, one of them I take back and forth between a portable Mac and my home PC, sometimes an iMac, and I’ve lent it out occasionally.
But with software activation, you can do the same thing. You just need an internet connection to deactivate / activate the software. It’s like a virtual dongle.

Pretty sure that the OP’s problem was that the transcoded Avid media was still available / visible to the system.
If you need to relink to AMA, it is best to hide the transcoded Avid mediafiles from the system, since Avid prefers to link to transcoded media over AMA-linked files.

The Decklink and the Nitris DX live on two different systems. On the Nitris DX machine, under Video Output Tool, I can choose P or PsF. On the Decklink machine, under Tools, there is a Hardware Settings tool, that lets me adjust some settings for the Decklink card.
I seem to recall that with the AJA Io Express, there were certain settings that I could change when using AJA’s Machina application.
