Understood. Please post in the FB group, as there is a lot more user activity and quite a number that have used Transcriptive for projects big and small. It’s come a long way from the early days (a few years ago) and we have plenty of people using it on big docs and other projects.
Part of the problem when we initially released it was the Panel API was new and there were a lot of bugs and weird stuff on the Premiere side of things. (TS is not a traditional ‘plugin’ which is a different, more mature API) Those problems have mostly been resolved and, of course, we’ve cleaned things up on our end as well.

Hi Ludmil, It’s not exactly the same thing. Better in some ways, less so in others. Probably your best bet is to try it out. Feel free to reach out to us at cs@digitalanarchy.com and we’ll set you up with a two week trial. Also, at least one of the FB premiere groups has a fair number of Transcriptive users: https://www.facebook.com/groups/adobepremierepro/
So if you want some user opinions, that’s a good place to post in.
You can also hit me up with any questions, jim@digitalanarchy.com.

Hi Matt,
What version of Transcriptive are you using? Make sure you’ve installed the latest version:
https://www.digitalanarchy.com/downloads/transcriptive_152_Pr.dmgWhat happens if you uninstall TS, restart and create a new project?
fwiw…this isn’t a known issue.
While it’s possible TS could cause this behavior when the panel is open, it’s difficult to see how it could be causing it when the panel is closed and especially if it’s uninstalled. If it’s uninstalled and still happening when you create a new project, it’s _really_ unlikely it’s Transcriptive. With an existing project, it’s still unlikely but it’s conceivable that perhaps there’s something about how we saved the transcript data in the project that’s causing Premiere to do something weird. As mentioned tho, this is not something we’ve heard of.
Another thing to try is click on the ‘Lock’ button in the UI. This will lock TS onto one transcript, preventing it from trying to load other transcripts. This exists so if you’re working on the transcript for a sequence it won’t constantly change every time you switch to a different sequence. So… if TS is causing it, turning on Lock might fix it.
Please try reaching out to us tomorrow at cs@digitalanarchy.com or 415-287-6069 and we’ll help you troubleshoot.

Kind of an old thread, but figured it’d be worth posting…
If you’re using Premiere Pro, Digital Anarchy just released a panel for Premiere (Transcriptive) that uses A.I. to transcribe video. Since it’s fully integrated into Premiere, the entire transcript lives within Premiere, meaning you can edit it, click on words to move the playhead to that point in your sequence, save to markers, or export to a caption/subtitle file. Here’s the link if you want to grab the trial version:

If you want it to play as slow motion, then you want it to play back at 30fps. If it plays back at 60fps then it’ll be realtime and not slow. If it plays at 30fps then it’ll be 50% slower.
If you shoot at at 60fps (or 120, 240, whatever) you want the video to be 30fps (or 24fps). when you import it into Premiere it should come in as 30fps. If it doesn’t, you can go to ‘Interpret Footage…’ and tell it that it should be 30fps (or 29.97).

September 30, 2014 at 5:28 am in reply to: Tips for improving the quality of this video?Steve is correct that it’s probably an issue with the electric cycle being out of sync with the camera. All types of lights can cause this, but fluorescent and LEDs are the biggest culprits.
As he pointed out, adjusting the frame rate and shutter speed should solve it.
This is another good article on the topic:

For footage that can’t be reshot, we develop a plugin, Flicker Free, that solves this problem. It works in most hosts: After Effects, Premiere, Resolve, FCP, Avid, etc. You can get more info here:

When you can’t reshoot and the layer trick doesn’t work, which happens frequently, we’ve developed a plugin, Flicker Free, for getting rid of flicker from a variety of sources. It’s very easy to use and solves most flicker issues… time lapse, 50hz, LED/fluorescent lights, slow motion, etc.
There’s a free trial, so you can check it out before purchasing.

I am, of course, biased since Digital Anarchy is my company.
But I recommend downloading the trial versions and comparing the demos on various pieces of footage that you’re likely to use it on. That’s the best way to make sure the software works on what you shoot.
Beauty Box is used extensively in the industry and you can check out some of the commercials that we’ve been used on here:
https://digitalanarchy.com/beautyVID/gallery.html
Mostly fashion and cosmetic commercials. The films and music videos we get used on are not usually willing to let us talk about them on the record. Which is a bummer because we hear some pretty entertaining stories about how it gets used.
We’re happy to be compared to any other retouching software out there, so please try the demo at:
