    Howdy.

Has anyone been working with Transcriptive for Premiere? I been working with Avid’s Script Sync for years and it works great, however I prefer Premiere’s workflow. So with that said what’s your take on Transcriptive?

Hi Ludmil, It’s not exactly the same thing. Better in some ways, less so in others. Probably your best bet is to try it out. Feel free to reach out to us at cs@digitalanarchy.com and we’ll set you up with a two week trial. Also, at least one of the FB premiere groups has a fair number of Transcriptive users: https://www.facebook.com/groups/adobepremierepro/

So if you want some user opinions, that’s a good place to post in.

You can also hit me up with any questions, jim@digitalanarchy.com.

I can’t experience around to try it on a big project… thats why I wanted to check first hand with people who used it.. I briefly used it and it worked.. my producer used it years ago and mentioned that Transcriptive caused premiere to freeze up and it was a mess.. We are working on a big time documentary with many interviews and can’t just try it.. I would totally give it a try on a smaller project though.

Understood. Please post in the FB group, as there is a lot more user activity and quite a number that have used Transcriptive for projects big and small. It’s come a long way from the early days (a few years ago) and we have plenty of people using it on big docs and other projects.

Part of the problem when we initially released it was the Panel API was new and there were a lot of bugs and weird stuff on the Premiere side of things. (TS is not a traditional ‘plugin’ which is a different, more mature API) Those problems have mostly been resolved and, of course, we’ve cleaned things up on our end as well.
