    From the help files:

    Scheme Colors

If you always thought green text on a pink background was the ideal color combination then you can use these parameters to make your dreams come true. Here you can define the color of just about any GUI element in Cinema 4D. Colors can be saved to individual schemes (Interface tab).

You should however make sure that the colors you select result in legible menus, etc. In the worst case you can make Cinema 4D “unusable” if you select colors that result in menus that cannot be read. If this should happen simply delete the Cinema 4D.prf and *.col files (e.g., “dark.col” for the dark color scheme) in your user directory’s “prefs” folder. Cinema 4D will then restart with the default color scheme.

    Contact FXFactory support.

  • Duplicate your graph layer. Make it 3D. Adjust its position, orientation and scale so as to make it appear as a mirror image of the original in the plane of the water. Reduce its opacity to make it appear as a reflection. Apply Effect > Distort > Displacement Map and select the water footage as the displacement map layer. Adjust the displacement settings to your satisfaction.

    Hope this helps.

I used your same settings with CC 2017 and got the result below… a nice, subtle glow. I’m on Mac whereas your using Windows, so perhaps there’s an issue with Windows or with your graphics card.

    Hi Lex,

I don’t work much with motors, but if you temporarily move the fan out of the way the motor set up does work. The two gears will momentarily jam but that can be overcome by adjusting the rotational position of Gear 1 slightly at frame zero. I would suggest redesigning Gear 1 with more and smaller teeth so that only one tooth of Gear 2 will mesh between each one. As it is now, two teeth are barely fitting in-between and causing the initial jam and poor meshing. Once the fan is moved back in place, what seems to be stopping everything is that two of the three prongs on gear 2 are jamming inside the slots in the fan. I think you need to redesign that interconnection as well.

    Hope this helps.

The tutorial is done with an older version of C4D. “Extrude NURBS” is now just called “Extrude,” and is found in the same menu (Generators) as he demonstrates in the tutorial.

In the tutorial he is creating his logo out of extruded splines, but you already have your completed logo so you are past that point. So that you would still be able to make modifications to the pieces of your logo later, just put all your pieces in a null (make them children of a null) and animate that.

It looks like you still have the issue that Adam referenced: using the Standard renderer with an alpha-mapped texture causing the DOF to vanish where the transparency is, namely the Teleport object as I pointed out. Are you using the Physical renderer as he suggested? If you would provide more information, and a clearer question, perhaps someone can help.

  • Great. Thanks for following up.
