March 11, 2018 at 11:19 pm in reply to: Soft Body Dynamics – weird “crunching” issue on default settings…Here is your project with some slight modifications:
1) Object type changed to Icosahedron for more uniform polygons.
2) Render Perfect deselected, otherwise the render would create a perfect sphere for every frame (no deformations)
3) Soft Body settings – Stiffness increased from 0 to 30
4) Steps per Frame – increased from 5 to 20On my machine (2012 Mac Pro with dual 6-core 3.4 GHz Xeon processors with 64 GB of RAM) the first 70 frames of the animation (where all the action takes place) took 18 seconds to render an Apple ProRes 422, 1280 × 720, movie file. I would estimate that playback in the viewport was 15-20 fps.

I hope this helps.

March 11, 2018 at 5:45 pm in reply to: Object wont floating up while the water increasing up?I only use RealFlow (the plug-in) occasionally, but this is definitely a useful idea so I have been experimenting more with it. Unfortunately I can’t find any way to float an object with RealFlow | Cinema 4D. There is no reference to doing so in the manual, and I can’t find any tutorials on the web demonstrating it. The collider tag seems to only allow objects to deflect the flow and not float with it. Maybe the next version (2.5) will have the necessary changes.
If you are using RealFlow 10 (standalone) there are references to Floating Objects in the online manual, and I did see at least one tutorial on the web. Perhaps Next Limit keeps that as one reason to upgrade.
Good luck in your search. Maybe someone else with more experience with the plugin has come up with a method.

March 10, 2018 at 11:29 pm in reply to: Does more RAM will speed up the exporting time of hd video in adobe premiere pro cs6?Dave,
It looks like he misposted in the AE forum, which prompted your very applicable question. His original question was about RAM for Premiere Pro.

I don’t remember where I got these instructions, and haven’t used them myself yet, but perhaps they will be helpful:

It is my understanding that CEP extensions began with CC 2014, so if you are using a previous version that option won’t be available. If you are using CC 2014 or later, have you checked to see if the extensions folder exists in its proper place? The path is Mac HD > Library > Application Support > Adobe > CEP > extensions (or C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions). Other than that, I don’t know what the problem could be.

March 8, 2018 at 9:41 pm in reply to: Soft Body Dynamics – weird “crunching” issue on default settings…To smooth out the soft body dynamics increase the Steps per Frame in the Project Settings:

Unfortunately that will further slow down the animation preview in the viewport, which is already an issue for you. If that just started, try a reboot. Otherwise I don’t know what to suggest.

March 7, 2018 at 6:24 pm in reply to: Animation – dissecting a car part – what’s the easiest wayIf you are just referring to the initial disassembly animation, and assuming that you already have a model that is in separate pieces, moving them apart in C4D would be very easy. After Effects, with Element 3D, would work too, so I guess it’s up to personal preference.
If you are also interested in the car animations along the road, I personally would much rather do something like that in C4D, rather than After Effects, because it is a true 3D system with much greater control.

If I am understanding your question, group your cloner and the bend deformer inside a null.
