Thanks for the advice on keyers. I also like going into after effects because i can key + export my dslr footage to pro res 4444. Doesn anyone have any suggestions on an easier way to convert my footage?
I wish motion had an export to layer feature that would allow you to convert footage right inside of motion.

I went into after effects for the key. Keylight is in my opinion the best keyer out there. I hate that there is no support for Motion tho.

Yeah i know, i really didnt want to have to roto scope when it was ultimately a test. Next time ill definitely have a bigger green screen.

Not really, this is just me doing some test. Maybe ill toss it in my demo reel when its better. When are you going to be getting some more tutorials out and when are you going to design “Video Copilots, Optical Flares” plugin for Motion lol…. I hope apple makes a better lens flare plugin.

When you zoom in your making a pixel bigger (same effect will happen if you scaled a low resolution image)
When you scale something like text (vector art) or a huge image (that has been resized to fit the canvas) you are nit streching pixels. For vector art the program will draw on new pixels to infinity, formlarge images you are able to stretch (scale) them up to 100% of the original size.
Biggest misconseption with noobies is that pixels (resolution) is mesurable like an inch, its not.

I also found this bug while i was doing greenscreen work for a promotional video. For some reason best blurs out the image to a point that is unusable, but when set to normal it is clear and in focus. Strange but true.

Its called typography. Its one of those things thay are simple to learn hard to master. To get real good at it you need graphic design skills.
For basics just put each word ( or syllable ) in a seperate layer and animate them on as they are spoken. The more creative you are the better.

Im pretty sure the problem is the loop setting. When you go into the inspector tab, then text tab, then format.. All the way at the bottom you will see live font settings. Its most likly the loop is not set to a high enough number. Remeber livefonts are video files being played as text.
