Scaling vs Zooming
Hi All!
I had a question regarding the difference between “scaling” and “zoom” when working with photos: why is it when I use the zoom tool to magnify a pic, I (eventually) get the pixilation on pics esp. those with lower pix count, but when I use the scaling tool, for the most part, I don’t get that pixilation? It was explained to me once, and I know the reason is obvious, but I can’t remember or figure it out…lol
Anything I should be weary about when it comes to using the scaling tool on a photo?

When you zoom in your making a pixel bigger (same effect will happen if you scaled a low resolution image)
When you scale something like text (vector art) or a huge image (that has been resized to fit the canvas) you are nit streching pixels. For vector art the program will draw on new pixels to infinity, formlarge images you are able to stretch (scale) them up to 100% of the original size.
Biggest misconseption with noobies is that pixels (resolution) is mesurable like an inch, its not.
