No those lenses have a different mount than what fits current cameras.

It stands to reason it would be a little slower perhaps but I’ve never done a speed test. The transfer is simultaneous so you aren’t waiting for one drive to finish before the other one starts though.

If it is any consolation, I checked my activity monitor with Firefox on this machine and it is at 71% on Creative Cow. On my other G5 it started at 93 and is down to 44 but still fluctuating.
Perhaps trying some Final Cut Work and see what issues come up.

I would run FSCK if you don’t have Disk Warrior. It’s free.

I’ve had success with strange, non explainable problems doing what is described here; https://support.apple.com/kb/TS1417
Booting into Safe mode and running FSCK twice /sbin/fsck -fy from the command line. Works for software problems. Would maybe help determine if it is hardware problem.

I would create an SD timeline but use the Prores 422 codec. Then take your HD clips and drop them straight into the SD timeline. You can scale them to full frame or leave letterboxed. See what you think of the results.
I\’ve tried many of the compression formulas suggested here on the COW but like the results of what I\’ve suggested.

When you re-installed the OS had you refomatted the drive or has it been touched through all this?
