April 5, 2019 at 3:00 pm in reply to: adding chapter markers within YouTube video managerJust came across a very simple way to get chapter marker style functionality within YouTube. In the description box type out the times you want as “markers”.
00:00 marker 1
00:35 marker 2
01:10 marker 3When you save it and go to view the video all the times become hyperlinked and you can jump directly to your marker.

It now appears that it’s the object buffer that is randomly changing. It shows up solid and then if I RAM preview or move the cursor it goes semi-transparent. Is this more a bug?

I wish the world was still using the good ‘ol VU meter! Life was simpler then.
What does -24LKFS equate to on the VU meter scale?

It was actually a couple of files that were both approved to hit -24 and yet played higher in Premiere and lower in Audition.
When I sent a file that was -18 in Premiere it hit their -24 target. That is why it makes me wonder about the accuracy of these software meters. I did try the Insight plug in and it read -17 on the same spot. I wish I could use the same Grass Valley system the broadcaster uses but it’s too cost prohibitive.

Where I noticed it is after importing a file that the broadcaster told me was -24LKFS in their on-air system.
I loaded it into Premiere and on the Master track added the Loudness Radar. The track after playing through showed me -21LKFS.
I took the same file into Audition and added the Radar once more to the Master track. The readout was now -28. Audition also has the match volume feature to any loudness level you wish but now I’m nervous about trusting what I’m seeing.

Are you finding the same file will output the same in Audition’s loudness radar too?

Thanks for the replies. It is a lot of footage but I actually did wait until all was done. The clips with the out of sync audio start at my 88th file and come in fine in CS5 but not in CS6. It is somehow leaving the entire length of audio but retiming it to half the length of the video portion.

There is about 20gb of footage.
Upon further review of this the audio isn’t actually missing but out of sync. I have 139 clips of golf. The first 87 clips are fine with full audio and sync. The remaining clips in the bin aren’t missing the the last half of the audio but the sync is out. They finish halfway through the video portion. It’s easy to spot because of the video containing golf balls being hit. The swing and hit and the sound of the hit are there but out of sync.
Very strange when the original files are fine and when I import into Final Cut all intact.

Lucas, can you do a SDI dump out of your camera? I used a Matrox box to send the signal out and then playback the clip and record as I would a tape source.
