Ok can I export using quicktime conversion to say 720 60P and have the show run smoothly. Seeing most of our shows have gone out for Closed captioning as a QT conversion DVCPRO 50 file. I am hoping to do the same and output the show to 720 60 file based for CC.. Will the KONA card help me as far as render times go? Or help me on the output for file based as a better image? Thanks again.

No I do not have that installed. Latest version of FCP/ Quicktime. I am up to date but out of luck looks like my associate producer may have not copied the files correctly. He is filming in Zimbabwe and I am trying to figure this out without him. EH….

My camera is the HVX200 old school. Folder structure is the content folder with all needed data… voice , video etc…. just a content folder that gives me a info of 14.66 gigs. so I see that all the mxf files are there but they do not and will not log and transfer into fcp. I even tried the P2 software from panny. No go there either.

    Shane,

Thanks for your help. No luck still. But I learned a bunch on the .txt file rebuild. Thats a bonus. tomorrow I will reshoot some spine interviews and make it work but have lost some data that can’t be replaced. I haven’t given up yet so i’ll keep hacking this baby till i crack her.

Nothing is happening. It does not import the data into the log and transfer window. It does nothing. I just built a new .txt file according to the earlier post and directions but that did not work either. What is my next step??

I added the Caldigit Hdpro to my studio and it is a fast, reliable set up and I left it at the default raid 5. You can’t beat their tech support as well.

    Shane,

Thanks. Version 6.0.5 and the latest QT version. I show audio bars in the pane but have no audio output while trying to log the P2 data. Once I que a few clips and import into the browser( FCP) as QT files they work. The only time I can’t hear the audio is while previewing in the log and transfer window.THis has been going on for a while… is there a fix from apple yet or still a bug they haven’t figured out?

Thanks Dave! I found out from you and others that Direct tv compresses the hell out of most shows. Not sure what the bit rate is but its way low for sure. Thanks for the response!

Good question. I will call today but as far as I know they take my file based DVCPRO 50 anamorphic QT file and ingest for SDI output to Beta SP. Thanks for your response.
