I second that G-tech drives just work. I have one 500 GIG and (2) 320’s and have pounded out numerous shows over the last couple of years and they keep running like little energizer bunnies… The g-tech mini triple interface drives are great for on the road and remote working environments were power sources are limited.

I just hooked up the Cavision to my EX1 and the LCD closes just fine. It’s close but Cavision did their homework and it fits nicley. I bought one for my HVX200 also. Now I will see if I an get some good deals at NAB on a filter set(s)..

We just got our Ex1 and the new Sonnet fusion F2 (640 GB) and raided it in the disc utility app ( comes with the instructions ). So our work around since the drive connects via the express card port (eSATA) basically it takes up the express card slot.

1.) Copy your BPAV folder from your SXS card to your Macbook pro desktop first.
    2.) Eject your card
3.) Insert express card/esata adapter for the fusion F2 and hook up your drive with the esata cables ( the F2 is powered by a supplied firewire 400 cable.
4.) Copy BPAV folder from desktop to F2 raid
    5.) Erase folder from desktop
    6.) eject F2 fusion disc
7.) insert SXS card and erase with piece of mind knowing your files are safe.

This might seem extreme but it could potentially save you from a drive going down and for same day editing this baby is faster than any bus powered drive in its class.

I have been using the miller solo dv carbon fiber legs and DS-20 head for sometime now with my HVX200. Lightweight and able to go low to the ground… or above the crowd. I have yet to have a failure with this setup from the Arctic to the Equator and everywhere in between. It just works!!
