When you save the Motion project, have you tried importing it as you would any other QT video file?

Cinematize works well on unencrypted disks. Don’t know about the others except from a google search.

In Motion 2.01:
– Select the Heavy Glow behavior
– Open the behavior in the Inspector
– Open Sequence Control
– Change Traversal to “Custom”
– At start of behavior set a Location keyframe at 0%
– At end of behavior set a Location keyframe at -100%
This should reverse the direction of the glow from right to left. I haven’t used Motion 1 for a long time and recommend the upgrader to 2.01 ASAP if you are planning on using Motion with any regularity.

You can nest layers in Motion just as you can nest compositions in AE for the same grouping capabilities.
Create a new layer and drag the layer with the current composite animation into it.

Yes, it will make a difference. The GPU is faster, and there is twice as much VRAM for caching the various elements so you would definitely see the difference in performance.
Bear in mind that more and more apps will be shifting pixel processing to the GPU over time, so don’t skimp on the card if you are planning on keeping your hardware for more than a year.

Pre-comping is the way around a lot of ‘gotchas.’
In terms of SIMPLE math, most people get the following calculation wrong:
2 + 3 * 5.The correct answer is 17 because you multiply before you add, but most people add the 2 + 3 first and come up with 25. The following makes the correct answer more clear:
2 + (3 * 5).Pre-comping is like putting the parentheses around a calculation to do it first and then do something with the result. Example:
time remap * (video – masked area)
