  • Importing photoshop file – can’t import mulitiple layers anymore

When importing a multilayered photoshop file, I used to get the dialouge box that asked me what I wanted to do with my layers, as per the manual. But now, it just imports them as merged layers, and leaves me with no option to keep the layers seperate. What gives? I tried trashing my motion preference file, no avail. I have done this many times before, but no go at this point.

    Thanks.

Checking in the Photoshop layers palette: are the layers linked? Grouped? Enabled?

Also, does this happen when doing a File > Import menu choice?

Is the file a .psd file with layers?

I’m having the same problems with a clean install of Motion, fully updated.

Here’s what I had to do to get it to work

    1. Ensure the image is square pixels
    2. Color profile is set at RGB
    3. Image set at 8 Bit

Do that, and the dropdown menu reappears.
