DId you change the pixel aspect ratio?
Are you looking at a non-square pixel video clip in a player that does not convert to square pixel display on a computer monitor?

More and more publishers are shipping the manuals as PDF files only. Saves costs: printing, shipping, production. PDFs will be more up-to-date and information is interactively linked. Unfortunately, one does not always have access to a computer to read PDFs, so you should check on the Apple Store to see if you can buy the printed manuals.

I seem to recall that when Wacom tablet drivers are installed they can mess up a Motion 2 installation.

Have you tried putting an alias to the external drive folder where you moved the contents into the appropriate Shared User Motion folder?

What is the temporal interpolation of the keyframe? Try mkaing it an ease KF then look for the handles.

Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter are the big 3 that are cross-platform. If you are on Windows you should also look at Xara (www.xara.com)
Wacom tablets are best. I prefer the smaller sizes as your hand doesn’t have to travel as far to cross the screen and they’re more portable. Intuos if you can afford it, Graphire if not.
