February 4, 2014 at 4:05 am in reply to: iMac 2013 OS 10.9.1 AE PR dynamic link issue

I’m seeing basically the same thing. If I toggle back a forth between AE & Premiere, things seem to wake up. The other thing that I noticed, is if I shut down AE the dynamic linked stuff runs fine in Premiere, and also, the out put renders happen a lot faster.

I have my MPB set up pretty much identical to the iMac, and I’m not seeing these issues.

Thanks for the feed back, if I figure anything out I’ll post it here.

    Cheers,
    Jim

  • Todd,

I did finally find the correct Library (user, not the HD). Ultimately, went back to basics and repaired permissions, and all seems to be OK.

    Sometimes it’s the simple things:-)

    Thanks,

    Jim

  • Todd,

I am also running into linking issues PR & AE CS6 OS 10.9.1.
I’ve looked into Library/Preferences, but don’t see an Adobe folder.
I sure would appreciate a bit more guidance.

    Thanks,
    Jim

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll finish up my current projects, back up my stuff and get to it.

July 11, 2013 at 12:41 pm in reply to: Pro Res (not HQ)

    Matthew,

Thanks for the follow up on HQ.

From what I’ve read, it looks like at HQ you can fit approximately 77 mins on a 128GB card (I’m assuming that is @ 30p). The Pocket seems to have the capability of recording @ 24p. According to the AJA calculator ProRes HQ @ 24p should use up 90.1GB per hr (maybe 100 mins on a 128). Any confirmation on those calculations?

    Cheers,

    Jim

    It does.

    Thanks,

  • Tom,

It is important to me and other editors for many reasons. One primary one is access.Ownership allows use to continue using our tools and have access to our projects once we have purchased the product. Deactivation due to suspended payment would not interfere with this very important access.

Did you mean to say “would” interfere?

BTW, I definitely agree w/ your position.

    Thanks,
    Jim

Did they bring back the ability to plug computer HDMI back? I believe it was in 3.4 that we got audio mixer but lost computer HDMI in.

    Thanks,

Thanks for your inputs. The reason I asked about the AES was because our analogue audio DA was being used up and we still had several AES outs doing nothing. We worked it out.

    Cheers,

I’ve been working w/ XDCam EX and PPro (CS 6) for about 6 months. Works great, very stable. No transcoding; fewer files to archive; and as an example of efficient work-flow, I’m able to playback 1920×1080 streams w/ MB Looks in real time.

    Enjoy.
