  • AES/EBU input on M/E 1

I see that the TV version of the switcher has an BNC AES/EBU input. Can you input an AES/EBU signal into the M/E1? If so could you walk me through the set up?

    Thanks,
    Jim

The TVS is the only one with an AES/EBU input. The 1M/E only has analog audio inputs. One stereo and one LTC. Same for the outputs.

The 1M/E, however, will accept two channels of embedded audio per input, and all of the SDI / HDMI outputs include that embedded audio.

    1. Purchase behringer aes to analog converter
    2. Put aes audio into behringer, and converted analog audio into atem
    3. Go have a beer

Thanks for your inputs. The reason I asked about the AES was because our analogue audio DA was being used up and we still had several AES outs doing nothing. We worked it out.

    Cheers,
    Jim
