I’ve noticed the same issue. Working on a sequence, shut down-reopen, and a different sequence is there. Weird and mildly annoying.

    Cheers,

    Hey Gary,

As I recall, I needed to go to a PC to do the upgrade. Couldn’t do it on the Mac.

    Good Luck,

December 31, 2014 at 3:11 pm in reply to: Dynamic Link – Issues continue

AE CC 2014 – version 13.2.0.49 is the latest version that I’ve downloaded and installed. My CC installer program indicates that I am up to date w/ that version of software.

Thanks Dave, for the clarifying suggestion.

BTW, I am still running OS 10.9.5. Might there be an advantage/improvement to move to Yosemite?

    Cheers,

    Todd,

Thanks for the update. It is reassuring that it’s not just me w/ the problem, and there is a fix on the way. The Dynamic Link workflow between AE & PP is an extremely powerful tool, and I am looking forward to not being hobbled by the above mentioned issue.

    Cheers,

Just to follow up. Uninstalled Creative Cloud ap & AE 2014 (13.1.1) reinstalled both and deleted AE preferences (though I had none… but whatever). So far DLinked files playing OK in PP, no drop frames, no studder, and I don’t have to toggle back to nor shut down AE to get things to run smooth.

    Fingers crossed:-)

    Cheers,
    Jim

    Kevin,

I’m not sure I understand what you are suggesting. I am using PP 8.1, and based on what the Creative Cloud program is saying it is the most recent CC 2014 update? And I am using AE 13.1.1 — also the latest CC 2014. Are you saying that AE 13.1 is OK but 13.1.1 is not? If so, I don’t see 13.1 available in the CC program.

Is there an AE 14 build? If so, my CC installer doesn’t recognize it. It says I’m up to date.

Any insights, additional suggestions and/or clarifications are truly welcome.

    Cheers,

    Jim

CC application indicates that I am up to date w/ cloud downloads. AE says version 13.1.1 – Aug 26,2014, Premier 8.1.0 – Aug 26, 2014.

Is there another update that the Cloud ap may not show?

    Thanks,

October 5, 2014 at 11:41 am in reply to: most buggy update ever: cc2014

I have to agree w/ Michel. I had all sorts of problems w/ 2014’s Dynamic Link AE to PPRo. Ultimately, Adobe support told me they had a problem w/ memory leak, and they were working on it. So I went back to CC (no issues there). Still waiting on fix. 2014 looks really good on paper, but at present it is useless to me.

Just to update; I heard from Adobe Support that this issue involves a memory leak, and they are working on a fix. So, for the time being, I’ll stay w/ CC until they work it out.

Thanks Adobe for the hard work and the follow up.

    Cheers,
    Jim
