if you can use a crop instead, then go to Creative Impatience and download their partially free plug-in “feathered crop” otherwise you are sol unless you take it into after effects. and if you want some nice everyday useful plug-ins buy Boris bcc9. they have some great plug-ins that Premiere sadly lacks.

I’ve had that happen when I use pictures that are too large…like over 4000×4000.
If you delete your render files you will have to re-render your time-line again.
Also I’ve had out of memory when in “sequence settings” “video processing” my setting was at “render in high precision yuv”
I change it to one of the two top settings and I’m good to go. -
I would take close-up pictures of the areas blocked by trees and cut and paste onto the wide shot.

I think you can right click on the clip and then click “rename”

so if I want to lay a piece of 23.98 footage in a 29.97 sequence I would “interpret footage” and it will add pull-down.?

if you used Nattress then you are SOL. same thing for CGM. if you loved the page-turn effect in FCP…sorry…SOL.

no response from anyone. I guess there is no way to do it.
I am also transitioning from FCP7 and miss easily changing audio levels.
also…a great many of my “daily use” effects won’t be available in Premiere. Like being able to make a light glow across text….a nice page turn….4 point mask with soft edging….Levelator….Nattress…CGM DVE Complete…Alex 4D Crop…Vignette….the list goes on. :/ -
