The way I determined it was:
    1. Listening – the sound went down to practically nothing.
    2. Seeing – Opening the file in Sound Forge and I could they were the opposite of each other.
    3. Correcting – I changed the files (and there were a bunch that were suddenly out of phase that had been playing) to mono files and the sound returned.
    I didn’t use any meters.

I think there is some problem with V7. The files were playing fine earlier but somehow were changed to out of phase. It happened with another veg I opened today. Until I get an answer, I’m converting all stereo files to mono. Someone posted a similar problem on another board.

Sorry it didn’t work for you but it does work – just quirky. The files would have to be compatible as to resolution etc. Just a thought — try numbering them in the same manner as Vegas when it exports them. In fact, try saving your files with their names.

On that “Import” it is “File-Import-Media” — then select the first still and check the box at the bottom for the numbered stills

It sounds like you moved the clips Vegas was using in the veg.

You need to add an audio track and put the music on the separate track. Then it will go where you place it.

For animation number the stills sequentially. Then “File-Import” and choose the first numbered still. Then check the little box (lower left) to import the string. It will add the string as a video file.

If you want to get a feel for this, first export a short piece of video as stills. This is a little wierd but it is under “Tools-Scripting-Render image Sequence.” Vegas will send out the video as a group of 1 frame jpeg or png files in a sequence. Check those out. You want to do something like that to do the animation.

I know this is odd. It seems like Vegas should have “Import-Export” instead of two different areas for inbound and out.

What are your project settings? Have you tried changing those? What version of WMV do you have installed? Have you updated it?

The “Best – Full” is important. It will assure you the highest resolution still. In Photoshop you can raise the resolution some. Go to “Image – Size.”

  • I would capture the still – write on it what you want and put it back but you would have to duplicate the clip without the frame and put it over the one written on at a lower capacity (or duplicate the still with and without text and put the without above at lower capacity).

Do yourself a favor and try Connect HD from Cineform. It’s worth the money.

Yes, I’m doing some transitions with HDV Cineform intermediates (1440 X 1080) and 1gb is too limiting to some of them. If I can allocate 2gb and still have 2gb, why not?
