I use it in creating special transitions and in removing unwanted items from a clip – as in exporting an animation, several fraqmes from a clip, correcting them and then reincorporating them as video.

Or you can go to Digital Juice. They are giving a free one away as a download right now.

Just curious. How did you capture them? Any done differently? Were the tapes the same brand? Age?

Windows Secondary Display works fine. I have a 1600 X 1200 secondary display and the HD is however I set the preview window. I also have a 1920 X 1080 monitor and have used it the same way – full resolution. I’m using Nvidia. It isn’t Vegas’ fault.

You can always set properties by clicking on the folder (upper right) that sets the properties to the media. It probably is 1440 X 1080 and upper field first (at least my Z1 is that). Also, 1.333 is correct.

Hey Gordon, Jerry Waters here. Haven’t seen you post before. We have to meet for coffee. I guess you are in DV. The problem in HDV is worse. I know that it is in sync even though it looks out but I sometimes prerender to check. Is rendering a small size file to sync to out of the question?

The low-cost way is use Vegas. Duplicate your clip on another track, do a “glow” or “blur with color curves,” exaggerate what you want, then cookie cutter the area you want in and use the opacity slider to adjust to what you want – a combination of the two.

Another approach is download trial versions of Magic Bullet and apply the looks. Effects Lab Pro also has a trial version.

I’ll second that about fxhome. Effects Lab Pro has some good features at a good price.

I just am finishing a one hour forty minute project. I used Magic Bullet extensively and everyone who saw it commented on the great looks.
