Just match the sequence settings. After all, no matter what you put in it, the sequence will compress to it in the end… nothing wrong with ProRes 422 either…

Might be the wav file… Try transcoding it to an AIFF at 48 kHz, and try using that file in the multi clip. Alternatively, try just adding the audio to the sequence replacing the multi clip’s audio..i.e., don’t make it actually part of the multi clip, just add it to the sequence which contains the multi clip.

Post each “contributor’s’ clip’s properties. What format are the clips and what are the sequence’s settings?
What format are you exporting your QT’s to?

Did you transcode the h.264 files to ProRes? Did you record the camera’s audio too?

Set the canvas or viewer size to 100%, and see if it looks the same.

Does the video look better just playing back from the camera when viewed on a video monitor or TV set? If so, it’s shot that way…

Sounds like you need to turn on the anamorphic checkbox in the clip’s properties, and in the sequence setting. If that fails, check to see the clip’s properties by typing cmd+9, and post those properties here.

Is an edit point selected in your sequence when you attempt to add a transition?

Try exporting a QT movie which is self contained. Open that in Compressor for the MPEG compression, and burn that to a disk.
