Try setting the keyframe rate to peaks only… might also post more about your system… faster mac might be in order too.

If you are no longer a student, you are illegal… I’d suggest an upgrade now to a retail license.
Also would recommend rebuilding a startup disk from the ground up running Tiger.

Media manager doesn’t work if the media is offline… might try exporting an EDL then reimporting that for recapture.

October 9, 2005 at 1:03 pm in reply to: How do I snap to the END of a clip, and not one frame after it?You can also just select a sequence clip and type shift+a to mark it in to out then type shift +o to go to out point.

Actually, there’s not… Media Manager assumes that the media is online… so if it’s not, it won’t create what you need. However the fix would have been to export an EDL, reimport that, and capture it..

I think I’d simply organize the footage and sequences better in the first place. Put all your master clips in a single folder with folders inside them that sort them out. how tough is that? Put sequences in their folder, put graphics together etc… have fewer folders on the top, and searching is a lot faster… I really think deleting original clips from the browser isn’t gaining you anything at all.

I’d suggest that you read the two forums here and see where “more problems lie” between the two too. That should be an honest evaluation method.
